Adjustable Beds Guide & Information

Adjustable beds are becoming increasingly popular for one main reason: comfort. We all want to feel comforted and relaxed in our beds, and to wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day. Unfortunately, most mattresses and sleeping configurations do not provide this.

To understand what makes the adjustable bed superior, one must look at our body shape and design. Whether you are a side sleeper or back sleeper, you can clearly see that your side or back is not flat. A traditional mattress, however, assumes your are flat. When lay on your back on a spring mattress, there are metal coils pushing up against your hips and shoulders and the curve of your back is completely unsupported. While laying flat, the entire weight of the abdomen is placed on the unsupported lower back, which is why many people report back pain, especially when padding begins to wear on a mattress. While laying flat, pressure points build up all over the body in areas like hips, shoulders, and heels, causing pain and limited circulation. With the right positioning an adjustable bed frame can alleviate these pains and pressure points.
